In front of the spectacular backdrop of the Temple of Poseidon on Cape Sounion, Greece revealed its multi-million euro tourist campaign.
“In 2020, tourism won a tough bet, which is why our country has been awarded as a pioneer in opening up the tourism industry,” Tourism Minister Harry Theoharis said.
“Today, our country is projected as a model for managing the pandemic in relation to Greek tourism… We are opening the sails in complete safety,” he added.
All travelers to Greece will need to complete a Passenger Tracking Form (PLF) detailing where they will be staying and for how long and will also need to present a Covid-19 vaccination certificate or recent negative PCR test or official document certifying recent recovery from the virus.
Theoharis said a system will be put in place for Covid testing to be carried out at regular intervals at popular tourist destinations, while the government will also rent hotels that will serve as quarantine stations in the event of an outbreak.
The “All you want is Greece” campaign consists of five videos answering the question “What do you want?
The videos, each lasting 30 seconds, showcase the country’s myriad of attractions – from its serene beaches and spectacular landscapes, and its historical and cultural heritage, to its culinary traditions, upscale services and his experiences off the beaten track.
