CELAYA, Mexico – Industrias Bachoco SAB de CV has acquired, through its Albertville, Alabama-based subsidiary OK Foods, Albertville Quality Foods (AQF), a supplier of value-added protein products for foodservice, retail retail and national accounts. Details of the transaction were not disclosed.

“With this acquisition, we will continue to grow our business in the United States, mainly with further processed products,” said Rodolfo Ramos, CEO of Industrias Bachoco. “We are confident that we will be able to quickly integrate this company into our current operations and capitalize on the opportunities and synergies we have identified.”

Bachoco expects the acquisition to be completed within a short period of time. AQF achieved sales of approximately $270 million per year.
